60623 extractions

Although our dentists will always strive to keep teeth healthy, there are times when a patient does need to have a tooth extracted. At Amerident Dental Center, we are able to provide successful 60623 extractions for patients who need to have this service performed.

When you come to our dental practice, you will be seen by one of our two expert dentists, either Dr. Trushar Patel or Dr. Alpa Patel. Our husband-and-wife team of dentists is able to provide you with a complete range of dental services, including dental extractions, when needed. Patients are able to have their teeth extracted at our office, while they remain perfectly comfortable in our dentist’s’ chair, due to our use of modern dental anesthesia. There are several reasons why a person may need to have 60623 extractions. Sometimes a tooth is so damaged that it cannot be saved with a root canal procedure. If this is the case, the tooth will need to be extracted in order to make sure that the infection clears up in the patient’s mouth and pain goes away. After tooth extraction, the tooth can be replaced. Another reason why a patient may need to have a tooth extracted is that they are having orthodontic work completed which will call for the extraction of a tooth so that other teeth can move into their proper positions. Due to interceptive orthodontic care, this type of tooth extraction is needed less and less often. Other times, a person may have a wisdom tooth that is causing pain. Since there is little room in the mouth for wisdom teeth to erupt, because they are the last teeth in the mouth to come in, they often encounter different problems when trying to erupt. If a wisdom tooth causes any type of problem, including tooth pain, it is generally extracted. This is due to the fact that wisdom teeth do not need to be replaced after extraction since they are not needed for chewing or for clear speech.

Have you been thinking about getting Botox injections? If so, you will be happy to know that we offer this service at our Amerident Dental Center. At our Chicago dentist office, patients can receive Botox injections to further enhance the beauty of their face.

When you come to our Chicago dentist office, you will be seen by one of our expert dentists, either Dr. Trushar or Dr. Alpa Patel. Imagine not only walking out with a beautiful new smile, but also having a more youthful facial appearance. Our dentists are highly trained in providing treatment with Botox cosmetics. This type of cosmetic treatment is able to reverse the appearance of facial wrinkles. Botox works by relaxing the underlying muscle. When this occurs, the muscle will temporarily stop contracting and the wrinkle will smooth out. Treatment with Botox is only temporary, and lasts for different time periods, depending on the individual patient. Generally, new Botox treatments are repeated after about three months. Botox can temporarily erase crow’s feet, forehead wrinkles, and even laugh lines. Our patients enjoy the convenience of being able to receive important dental care as well as Botox injections at our one office. We have convenient office hours for all six days a week, Monday through Saturday, from 9 AM to 7 PM. Even if you have deep forehead furrows, Botox can be effective in helping to re the look of these wrinkles. Botox is approved by the FDA, and can safely be administered to you at our office. Even though this procedure does need to be repeated after several months, many of our patients enjoy this fact because they never need to worry that any type of treatment will be permanent, if they do not want it to be so.

For an appointment to receive Botox at our Chicago dentist office, simply contact us today. We know that you will be very excited about the positive changes that Botox can make to your face, and that you will enjoy your new, more youthful look.

Dental Care for All Ages in Chicago IL

Chicago IL Dentist

Chicago IL Dentist

At Amerident Dental Center, our Chicago IL dentist provides dental care for patients of all ages, from kids to adults. Childhood cavities are a common thing. Most kids easily get cavities because their developing teeth are susceptible to the tooth decay and other problems. Brushing and flossing must be kept up on so that kids have clean and healthy teeth. Cavities happen when tooth decay has gotten into the tooth and decays the inside, which creates a hole. Fillings help to fill up the hole and keep it from progressing.

Cavity treatment by our Chicago IL dentist can sometimes involve a procedure called a root canal after the inner pulp has gotten infected. After a root canal, a cap or crown is placed over the tooth to protect it. Crowns and caps can also be used to cover dental implants and be placed over a cracked tooth. Sometimes caps and crowns are also used over teeth that have become discolored or stained. The crown restores the look of the tooth to its natural appearance. Most kids love coming to our dentist’s office and seeing our dentist, who is caring and available any time to answer questions regarding your dental health and to help educate you and your family on the importance of preventive oral care.

Our fillings are usually made from ceramic, which is the strongest material used for fillings. They work great in areas of the mouth that are more visible, such as the front teeth. At Amerident, our Chicago IL dentist teaches kids how to keep teeth clean and healthy, and to prevent future cavities and tooth decay by using proper brushing and flossing methods. We teach both kids and adults the importance of prevention and how to keep teeth clean with the right oral care habits, enforcing them and keeping them updated on the latest in dental care along the way.

Dental Plaque in Chicago

Dentist in Chicago

If you are looking for a dental practice that provides complete dental care for all members of your family, you will want to become a member of our dental practice, Amerident Dental Center. At our dental practice, you will be seen by our dentist in Chicago, either Dr. Trushar Patel or Alpa Patel; our dentist will also recommend how often you should have a teeth cleaning to remove all dental plaque and tartar from your teeth.

Dental plaque is an extremely sticky and colorless film that is continually created in your mouth. There is no way to stop the creation of dental plaque, so it is important that it is regularly removed from your teeth as it can cause dental cavities and even gum disease. Even with the very best at-home dental cleaning regimen of tooth brushing and flossing, some dental plaque will always remain on your teeth. Dental plaque will also turn into tartar which is a hard, mineralized substance that tightly adheres to teeth. Tartar can only be removed from your teeth with professional dental cleaning instruments. For these reasons, it is important that you have a periodic dental cleaning at our office about every six months. During a regular dental cleaning, plaque will be removed from your teeth and from just below the gum line. This will not only help your teeth to stay cavity-free but can also keep you from developing gingivitis. When a patient has gingivitis, the gums are inflamed by plaque which has gathered at and just below the gum line. If our dentist in Chicago sees that you have gingivitis, he will most likely recommend that you have several regular dental cleanings over the coming months to help your gums become healthy again.

To make an appointment to meet with our dentist in Chicago for a complete dental exam, or to have a dental cleaning at our office, contact us today. Many of our patients choose to schedule both appointments on the same day for their added convenience.

Dental Exams in Joliet

Dental Exams in Joliet

Seeing our dentist every six months is not just a good idea for the maintenance of your teeth, it can also prevent gum disease thanks to our teeth cleaning in Chicago IL, save you money on more complicated problems in the future, and may even allow for the early detection of oral cancer. At Amerident Dental Center, we want you to have every advantage when it comes to your oral wellness.

Dental plaque is the number one enemy of both your teeth and gums. It’s a film-like bacteria that grows on and between teeth. It erodes your tooth enamel, causing cavities. And it can also irritate, inflame, and infect your gums. Most of it is taken away when you brush and floss, but some hides away in gum pockets, avoiding the reach of your oral hygiene. At some point, it turns into hardened tartar. And only our teeth cleaning in Chicago IL can remove it then. In addition, if you are showing indications of gingivitis, the early stage of gum disease, our teeth cleaning in Chicago IL will reverse the effects, as well as make future cavities less likely. A six month exam will also result in the detection of any cavities before they can grow large enough to cause serious consequences, like a root canal infection or the need for the tooth to be extracted. That means added trouble, added pain, and added cost. As for oral cancer, the truth is that cancer anywhere in your body will typically have a greater chance for a positive outcome when it is detected early. A simple screening can find signs that would otherwise go unnoticed. You will then be referred to an appropriate specialist for needed follow up care.

Don’t let your busy schedule stand in the way of strong and healthy teeth and gums. Contract us to schedule a twice-yearly exam and teeth cleaning in Chicago IL.

Dental veneers in Chicago IL

Dental Office in Chicago IL

Do you have a chipped tooth or other cosmetic dental problem which is marring your smile? If so, you should visit us at Amerident Dental Center where you can have this cosmetic problem easily fixed. At our dental office in Chicago IL, our expert dentists, Drs. Trushar and Alpa Patel, can provide you with dental veneers to fixed cosmetic dental problems.

Dental veneers are a very popular way to fix many cosmetic dental problems at our dental office in Chicago IL. Our dentist will first want to assess your smile situation and determine whether or not your cosmetic problem can be fixed with dental veneers. If your tooth also needs to be strengthened, or have its function improved, our dentist may recommend that you instead receive a porcelain crown. A porcelain crown will cover your tooth on all sides, and strengthen it as well as improve its appearance. However, if it is found that your smile problem is purely cosmetic, our dentist will most likely recommend that you have the problem fixed with dental veneers. Dental veneers are thin shells that are made of porcelain. They are extremely thin and very strong. Porcelain veneers are permanently attached to the front of your tooth and are made to last for many years. They are perfectly color-matched to adjacent teeth so no one will ever be able to tell that you have them in your mouth. A patient may get one porcelain veneer to fix a damaged tooth, or a patient may get many porcelain veneers to achieve the smile they have always dreamed of. Porcelain veneers can be used to solve many purely cosmetic dental problems including: teeth that are too short; teeth that are slightly misaligned; teeth that are chipped; teeth that have surface cracks in the enamel; teeth that are misshapen; teeth that are discolored and cannot be whitened with traditional dental whitening methods; and many other cosmetic dental problems.

If you would like to discuss your cosmetic dental problem with our dentist, simply contact us for an appointment at our dental office in Chicago IL.

Cicero Cavity Treatment

Dental fillings in Cicero

Cicero cavity treatment

Cicero cavity treatment

If you have a pain in your tooth when you eat something sweet, you may have a dental cavity. When you experience any type of tooth pain visit us at Amerident Dental Center. At our office our top-notch dentists, Drs. Trushar and Alpa Patel, can provide you with expert Cicero cavity treatment.

When patients come to us needing treatment for dental cavities, will we let them know that we have two different types of dental fillings available to them. We offer the traditional silver amalgam fillings as well as the newer tooth-colored composite fillings. Our dentist will generally recommend the type of filling material to be used based on the size and location of the cavity. If the cavity is extremely large, it will most likely need to be filled with a silver amalgam filling, as these fillings are stronger and less likely to chip or crack. Additionally, if the cavity is on the flat chewing surface of a molar, a silver amalgam filling may work better because it will better withstand vigorous chewing forces. However, if the cavity is on the front of a tooth that shows when you speak or smile, it probably will be recommended that you receive a tooth-colored composite filling. These fillings are extremely aesthetically pleasing since they cannot even be seen once they are installed; they will perfectly color-match the color of your tooth. Additionally, less tooth enamel needs to be removed when a tooth-colored filling is installed, and the filling is actually bonded to the tooth. This means that the tooth will be made stronger by the filling, and more of the original tooth will remain after the Cicero cavity treatment. You may want to check with your dental insurance to make sure composite fillings are covered; this is because they can be more expensive to receive due to the fact that they can take longer to install in your tooth.
